Yes! this definetly needs to check, AT depends alot on its ATF to run properly.I check mine every mths at least.I had the same problem not long ago, and was thinking it was a major gear box problem.
I was lucky to have a good mechanic who had checked my car carefully...
Check both the COLD and HOT mark of the gear box dip stick
During my last service, which I flushed and change my gear oil, the inexperienced mechanic did not check the oil level properly,....he only checked the cold level but when the engine got hot, the dip stick showed insufficient gear oil. I have to add another 500cc of gear oil and the problem was solved.
Hope it helps...
Thanks bro.Hi all bros, I'm the one who was first sent this threat. I found a very 3x good nissan mechanic around Selayang. He is actually working at Nissan service Centre Jln Ipoh. But he is also runner at home at weekend. He knows everything about Nissan car especially Cefiro, just tell him what problem with your car model A31, A32, A33, everything he knows. I also discover the history (mine is second hand) of my own Ceffy from him... and he also solved the gear loose problem of my Ceffy with only RM 380, which was recommended for RM 2,250 by Tan Chong last time I service at Jln. Ipoh, well... at his work place perse.
The problem is with Revolution Switch Sensor. He took less than 5 minutes to replace with new sensor. He has a strong contact with Nissan spare parts supplier and he can make half price or maybe less than that for any Nissan spare parts. He also did the works at his house, at Selayang.
Anyone who really want to see him can call me first at 019-9855217 (Hamdan), because I don't want expose him to anyone and I don't have any permission from him to do so. Or you can go to Nissan Centre Jln. Ipoh and look for mechanic name Wan (Malay man).
Just want to share... Believe yourself but don't believe your car.
