Carburetor Section

well, its been done and its already running...there are carb turbo's around =) tuning, not a hassle actually once you get the right mixture, only problem is that power is limited with the carb, EFI you could mod more and more butthen carbs there are limits =)

Until now, i still don't know where is the AFR screw on my 4G13 carb .. sigh.

And how to tune it, i too don't know.

Does anybody know any shop around klang valley that has a air/fuel meter or machine that can tune carbs ? I really really need it.

Thanks..

the AFR screw is behind the carb lo... facing the firewall... next time free i snap for u....

but tuning AFR i also not sure ler.... better dont mess up my current AFR... later FC go sky high den cialat...

that day i at last managed to diy tune idle rpm.... hahaha.... last time never bother to learn how to tune.... but my idle rpm going higher n higher... need to tune it lower to save some fuel during idle....

there is this big yellow screw facing downwards on the right side of the carb .. n its pointing behind, but downwards... that one is the RPM screw rite? ,

then the one facing front n upwards is the aircond screw... right?

so what about the AFR screw? i looked behind the carb i cant see no screw... hehehh..

yaya.... i found the 2 idle screw... but when i tune the aircond off idle screw, like no difference la... haha... the end tip of the screw isnt touching the "rev flap" also....

sky, only when the air cond is switchted on, the actuator pump connected to the screw, will press the screw down touching the plate... so if u wanna tune that, switch on the air cond, then "mess" with it.. tht screw is meant to stablize ur idle when air cond is running

sifo sekalian, i remember last time some of u all discuss about installing fuel regulator on carb right... only those running external fuel pump can install? whats the benefit?

thxxxx

yo bro nitrus

the AFR screw the head is facing the firewall the leg is facing forward

i thought fuel regulator only for EFi cars ??

skywalker ... y not touching the rev flap one ??? hmmm ???

dunno why the throttle flap not touching the idle screw (facing downwards that one) la.... i can put my fingernail in between also....

but my aircond idle rpm screw is touching the throttle flap la... so i tuned that one only.... :P

nitrus
so how the result? more silent engine idling without losing power and FC slighly better?

I have yet to hear the engine idling sound ! ehhehe.. today raining damn heavy sial.

power n fc not sure yet.. during the next petrol fill i'll drive slow n monitor it .. :_:

yesterday went try something, pump 20bucks of red petrol (ron92)... power seems much better, i wonder why.. hmmmm...

hmm, me too, i tried using ron92 fuel, the car feels better and like more power, butthen dunno how true is it tho...butthen how, the FC also increase wor, well, thats what i feel la, or izzit my right foot gatal? but most prob is that the FC increase lo, so i guess ron97 still better in FC lo... =)

no wor, i pump da red petrol fc better a little bit wor... sumore still same 3k gearchanges :p

for carb, the fuel canot be adjust..only the amount of air canadjust....if not mistaken

can be done at the AFR screw located at behind carb...

according to some old mech, close the afr until the engine like wan 'mati mati' like tat....then open it 720"c.....

this is how old mech done normally, anyones can correct me?
