Not go back factory to reset ECU, just that when no current goes to ECU, it resets back to factory standard. Whatever it learned from your driving is lost and it starts to learn again.

factory setting still ok to run on the car. It is perfectly normal. Lots of cars had their battery removed for service....ecu revert back to factory setting, and run fine after battery installed.

All in all, there shouldn't be any problem at all.

I think what most are afraid are modified ECU, like re-flash or something. They have added some other command to factory setting, and once the current is cut off the ECU resets to factory setting, means the extra command is gone and need to redo....

Now i got a bit of understanding on the ECU...

I'll try leave the battery in but off all the necessary.. and see how it goes..haha
