I've been reading some forums, mainly on how to improve or gain up more torque on early / low rpm band. some suprise finding, there r plp suggesting about upgrading cam.

all the while, i only know changing cam will widen up your torque band, but in this case, can it also adjust or mod into the way that gain more torque in early rpm band but sacrisfice on high/later rpm band?

we discussing all this at 421 vs 41

i think is the fact
u want low RPM 421 sacrifice top speed

u want high RPM 41 sacrifice pick up/acceleration/FC bad(city driving)

there are cams that focus on lower rpm n midrange. but i've never heard of any cams that sacrifice high rpm power. usually cams that emphasise on midrange n lower rpm are rally cams...

so how do we see should that a cam is rally cam? deg and lift ?

use cam pulley to adjust the power

will it works with just stock cam or it shld work hand in hand with higher profile cam?

i have no idea bro. but usually when u order cams (as what i saw in burton power catalog), the cam manufacturer will specify that the cams are suitable for circuit/fast road/rally etc etc etc... so if u want midrange, u can ask for rally cams.

sorry if my answer cant answer ur question. i'm not a master in these. i dont have a degree in automotive engineering or motorsport background. i just know a little, based on personal experience and hearing other people's advice...
hehe

is there any possibility that one can custom reprofile the stock cams for low and mid rpm torque gain??...

skywalker : yes, u can. the Q is finding the one to do it, for how u want it to perform
