Hi all 61T master,

I still cannot forget the feeling / excitement when I newly bring my car out from garage with 1.2 bar boosting in the street. After that successfully reduce the boost by installing new hose for actuator currently having my stock engine boosting @ 0.5 bar.
Now, I'm feeling itchy and want to up boost @ 0.8 bar (Enough for me as I'm fuel-consious person) and need master's advice for me what to do. Just simply up boost? Or what do I need in the first place in order to do so?

Thanks a lot in advance. :_:

Hi all,
Means that stock engine can withstand @ 1.0 bar without problem? What about long run?

Hi Zurinazwan,
Thanks for your information. That's very helpful. I'm impress what you did, that's awesome!
I've got your number stored. =) Anyway, where you from? I'm from penang.
Actually for my concern, I don't intend to up boost until such high althought that is very exciting. I'm fuel consious people you knows... haha...
From what you did and your experience, do you think that is fine enough if I just up boost until 0.8 without any modification?

Hi brothers,

I am on the same track too. Want to up boost but in doubt.

Will be good if i install a Exhaust Gas Temperature gauge and Air Fuel Ratio gauge to monitor my engine first before going for the fuel pump and so on?

I am like you too bro, raising little boost only. Since sifu said that raising 0.2 to 0.3 bar on standard engine would be okay, i am not stepping into the large PSSTT yet.

Thank you.

kk, so previously u were boosting 1.2 bar, were u worried?

anyway, to answer ur question, if engine 100% stock, with healthy engine, healthy fuel pump, everything in good condition, 1 bar is the max tolerable limit. beyond 1 bar, still can but risky already... so 0.8 bar is nothing.

p/s but if anything happen, dont sue us ar, we dont know whats the condition of ur engine. some people boost 2 bar no problem, some standard boost also piston melt... depends on ur luck...

ken,so how high ur boosting now?

Boosting at 0.9bar minimum; turbine changed bigger by previous owner. Unless put wastegate then only can lower the boost. Scary to boost 0.9bar as i have no confidence yet. I have no monitoring gauges as well. Now always vacuum drive.

Thanks for the advice bro. It means that it might still can tolerate the boost generated. Agree with you, every car is different; like humans.

Hi Khoyos,
Thanks for the advice. =)
Previously was 1.2bar with no overboosting sign. Means no problem adi (mayb...) So. 0.8 bar should be no problem right?
em.. I will try it out.

Hi Ken,
Haha, I don't wish to be monster. smooth drive, smooth acceleration will do. Especially bypassing the front car.

Yeah, how is your fuel consumption? Mine is very very bad i presume. Off boost with vacuum driving only will cost me RM50 = 120km only. It was running 42psi running engine fuel pressure.

After searching all over, i decided to do a test. I follow the specification of the stock standard engine and start troubleshooting. Hope i am doing the right thing.
Now running on 35psi engine running. :X-:

Hi Ken,
That's.. bad. I read and understand that you are buying this car from someone else right? Is it modded?
My car now playing standard. Don't intend to modify until can fly. Yesterday tested with 0.7, very nice. Can feel the power. More than enough for me. =)
My fuel consumption now is full tank (RM 70 +/-) can give around 400KM. Fully highway, with some boosting and high speed @ 140KMH, can do about 460KM per full tank. Fully town with less boost, can go arounf 380KM. Boost here boost there, less than 300KM. haiz... Still consider okay.
So, what is your concern? You gonna re-convert back to original spec? GSR standard boost @ 0.8

I also don't want to fly. Your consumption is considered good. Mine is really really bad, i don't know what to do. Trying to stick to the stock standard setup as much as possible. Sad~

Hi Ken,
For your case, why not try to change back to TD04 twin blade? Your current turbine which bigger than previous is TD05? If so, maybe you can trade in big turbine to get a smaller turbine. I think Zth-ian here should be happy to exchange with you.
Is Standalone installed? I saw somemore did install standalone and play with stock engine can have a very good fuel consumption. Im thinking to get one as well. May be SAFC.

Lets bring down the price of oil!!!!

Recently got a Malay scientist create Hydroxene.. the fuel+water-powered car which can reduce FC by 50%.

We oso can DIY it. Check out: http://www.waterpoweredcar.com

The concept is simple: Water Electrolysis = H20 --> apply electricity, and result is breaking of O2 and H gases at the 2 different electrodes.

Me and colleage tried it at by just using tap water and apply around 60V across two wires...
