but i still doubt that the air goin through the hose is helpin...cause it needs to travel a distance to reach in our filter...sze try to use it few days then giv comment okie? :)

having the pipe travel along this pipe actually increases it's airflow velocity.

to make this thing most effective
best to use a bell mouth

szekeiemme here can't afford more than the pipe i can offer :P [/b][/quote]
im broke this month.. ehehhe

will cut the bumper.. ehhehe

i cut the bumper ..will cut it alittle more.. cuz i scared when rain or wut water will suck in..

the air travel thru de pipe is quite fast... ok.. compare to my old twincam pipe.. de distance is just 1 more feet.. means dat.. de original twincam pipe.. den at the end of de twincam pipe .. i addd 1 mroe pipe till de bumper oni 1 feet.. but my suggestion is.. use a smaller diameter piping la.. this is how i think.. 1st.. u imagine de coffee bean straw n de normal straw... with de same suction from ur mouth.. compare which 1 de air suck is more powerful.. the smaller 1 cuz u suck slow ma... but if u wana rev high n suck more more.. u use smaller 1 canot la.. ehehe can use bigger 1.. n suck .. so its up to u la which diameter u wan...i think mine will work / perform better when i rev high n top speed might improve...

Hello guys,

Need you all to help me on my idea of setting up a CAI for my new intake. Below is just for reference of what i planned to do and thanks to the owner of this car =)

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-12/916579/CAI.jpg

1) My new apexi power intake
2) Cardboard, heat-shield like material to cover that area
3) That pipe to channel cold-air in

Eh, my concern is that what is the maximum size of the pipe that could slot in between the gap marked [4] ?

http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-12/916579/CAI2.jpg

1) The CAI pipe
2) Cardboard thingy

This is that i intend to put around the filter, would this work ? i dunno ... Any idea from you guys ?

should be about 2.5 - 3" max

you could buy me CAI kit :P i sell...

a intake filter cover (totally) and CAI hose attaches itself there..

take the entire kit for RM80

hose 2.5" 3ft
2 hose clips
CAI box/tube :P
rubber gasket

Uncle Stanley...can post ya kits picture ar..want to c how it look like

this was the CAI tube/box i made for Khai :)

this mod requires the battery to be relocated to the rear.

it's SuperLoned too!

pls ignore the 'NASA' pipe
it was for decoration, Khai's request

NO it wouldn't help much, the standard air box is better.

enough talk.

i've done one for gasing a zth forummer :)

PICT2020.jpg

this is a GOOD area for CAI
high-pressure area, and plenty of air for the hose to suck from. :)

used a drill to cut a circular hole, used a Dremel rotary grinder to smoothen out the rough parts :)

had to use a cable tie to properly secure the hose.. hehee

a good spot for wira to install the air pipe.... for my car iswara i put it at the lower part of my car... i think it can lead air too but much more dirty coz dust will be lead in too.... anyone got better idea where to put for iswara?

Just wondering...doing these CAI...how much does it actually gain ar?..

for those kelisa...i have this idea of doing the bell mouth on the front grill it self..(i mean half of it...the left side one)..the whole left side would be the bellmouth....what do u guys think?..

Why most CAI ar sucking in from the bottom part of the car..especially on the bumpers???...does the hight level of the intake mouth make any differrence?
