B16A upgrade to B20B

Deat All Taiko,
I would to like to urgrade B20B, wat item i need modified for the block? If upgrade B20B wiv Jun Stage 3 high cam wiv hondata computer box. how many HP will increase? Please advice
 
B20B usually see about 210hp or more at the wheels.

The basic stuff you need is a B20B block, get a vtec line done, change the rods (or not, depending on how much reliability you're looking for, pistons, and that's about it.

What you do after that determines what hp you get.

i believe that what shiroi mention is the oil line from the bottom of the block to the head of the block.

i think there's a tread discussing about this topic. some even put dyno graph on that tread. do a search cause i think the tread is very informative to set your expectation level of B20B engine.

That one ask the guy installing your engine.. a brand he's familiar is usually the best.

Rod wise.. ask your engine builder as well.

Different builders have different favourites... so I'd say go with his choice.

Anyway... engine will not be put in my car until I take my B16a on a run down at sepang.. hehehe...

then only can 'senang hati' change engine.

hopefully, mie.. see how my b16a fares against all you monster engines.. sure die one.. but hahaha.. want to keep photo/timeslip as momento before swapping engine.
 
all the best in your b20b project shiro..i had a b20b under the hood once..damn syiok, 20.5kgm torque.. :regular_smile:

Still my b16a quite okay feel pity want to swap..

Anyway, nothing wrong with keeping a spare B20B engine around... :P
 
that one quite impossible if stock engine is 1.6, but $$$ can do wonders right?

1.3 and 1.5 exceeds the 25% capacity increase for engine swap, which was why I bought a 1.6 chassis, so there won't be problems with registering a 2.0L engine in it.

No problems with JPJ registration, as loads of cars here has done it.

Just remember to put in silencer and the stock airbox when going for the required inspection.. :P
 
If i use 4-1, JPJ will approve ? how much for JPJ approve? can go personal or must find agent or runner because 1.6 upgrade to 2.0. please advice
 
Yes.. mine is a 1.6 with a 4-1 extractor.. approved via normal means.. no special undertable/above table or underwear money.. :P
 
Can someone tell about Kings Crank Bearing??? I heard this bearing normally used for B20B setup. How much is it??? and with this bearing how much rpm can it goes? where normally B20B ppl pnly goes to 8K only. TQ!
 
sometimes its easier to get approval if done by runner and save more money. my car is heavy tint and bloody loud tanabe racing medallion and the runner guarantee me 100% pass with just rm250.
