Hi, Anyone can tell if the RSM running with the optional G-Sensors is showing real-time power output (in PS) on wheel or on engine ? I believe PS means on Engine but just want to be sure...on the RSM, its always showing as PS.

thx.

The G-sensor is for measuring G-force not horse power.
HP is horse power Americans use this measuring unit.
PS is ponies the japs use this measuring unit.
both for power output
but 280ps is less than 280 hp because horse is bigger than ponies. Hahahaha :D correct me if i am wrong

Titan, u are right and wrong..

right: yeah..I know lar. 280hp is equiv to 27x.xxxxps.

wrong: G sensor for horse not power...The Apexi RSM incorporate the G-Sensor to sense the G force and couple with processed ECU data to compute the PS output under the POWER measurement menu. What I am trying to ask is whether the output is considered +/- comparable to at wheels or at flywheel !

My guess is it's at wheel since is already compensating the car weight vs the speed/rpm vs G-force .

in anycase, appreciate u for answering.

cheers.
:)

B18C, why don't u try the RSM manual. it should have stated there right?

Thanks for ur corrections....appreciate it a lot.. :)

should be on wheel... when go on dyno also they compesate ur tire n friction everything... still they considered it as on wheel horses..... just my opinion lah

Hehe..it's in Japanese lar. **scratch head**

Apexi RSM Horsepower function is supposedly on wheel, thats why you need G-sensor to activate the horsepower function.

Joeker...do you know any continental car tuning expert ah ??
