Advice needed

Hi all,

I'm very new to the ICE scene and would appreciate all the help I can get from you all. I have a Sony head unit which drives two 6x9 rear speakers and two front door speakers. I'm intending to install a sub woofer to my car and was wondering what kind of setup will be good overall. Do I just get an amplifier to power my sub only or will it be better to get both my sub and front speakers amplified? Any other suggestions are welcome.

get a 4ch amp to drive the sub and the front components, sell off the 6x9, use the money to raise the amp budget.

only by using amplifier (excluding those in your HU) that you can bring the best of your speakers (even sub). You can get a 2 channel amp to power your front and the HU internal amp power your 6X9. Or get a 4 channel and use channel 1 & 2 for the front anf bridge channel 3 & 4 for the sub.
