hi guys.Really need some solution to my never ending problem.Recently i fitted hotbits adjustable suspension
(hi/lo) to my bb4 prelude. After one week of using got knocking sound when i go on uneven surface but on road bumps got no noise.I checked the bushings. All ok.Changed the two rubber bushings which is on the top mount of the absorber but still got noise.Sent it back to the shop.Checked the absorbers.Nothing wrong with it.Then the dealers told that in the mounting there is a rubber ring with a groove on it.The groove is for the original springs to sit in it but since adjustable absorber comes with a flat metal plate on top,it doesnt sit in the groove properly. So he told to take out the rubber ring and weld the metal plate to the top mounting so that there is no freeplay.Did all this and now got sound from one side.Damn frustrated edi coz tried everything but problem not solved.Even my regular mechs dunno wat to do.Car sounds like a 30 yr old car with all the rattling from behind.Even checked the panelling and insulated the back.I hope u guys can give me a solution.Spent almost 3k on the shocks and this is what i get.Should have just fitted the original absorbers.Help is greatly appreciated. :frown:
