guys...
wat is the difference between psi and bar?
wat does the bar means?
is there anyway to convert psi to bar?
thanx

They are units used to measure air pressure.

THe difference is psi unit uses inch, bar uses cm.

14.7 psi = 1 bar.

Like feet and meter. 3 feet is about 1 meter.

My field always deal with pressure but as far as I know 1 bar is equal to 14.5 Psi.

I am sure for this :)

bro...what is your profession that always deal with pressure? pressure measured in BAR or pressure measured in number of headaches?  if it's the latter, i'm sure most of the working gang here shares your 'pressure'.

j/k bro... :P

guys...wats cmHg....my boost meter shows my reading in this form...then in peak boost in shows kg/cm2....so how much do i times to convert to Bar....thanks

No worry bro.

My field related to pressure vessel making. Any storage vessel size n pressure in industrial use. As well as piping with qualify TIG welding. We hv our procedure ceftification and endorse by 3rd party. :)

For example I can make those nOS bottle any size u want and petrol surge tank :P

Also can strengthen the body chasis for competition use, but we don't do this :D

hey cool! the vessels, can do u usually custom make or are they standard sizes, or both? anyway...better get back to topic :P

Custome made... any size can be made....

The biggest we had made is 4800 in diameter and 120 feet long. The weight is 150 tonnes. :D

Compares to others big company like KNM Steel, we made small

darn...
my boost meter only got measurement smtg like this:
*tilt head to right*

|''''''|''''''''''''|
- +

so how i know when's the max boost?when reach + sign ar?

noob question:

lets say your reading is 1.5bar.
that means actual pressure in the manifold is

a)1.5bar higher than atmospheric pressure
or
B)0.5bar higher than atmospheric pressure

?

I think it shd be 0.5 bar higher than the atmospheric pressure, as the atmospheric pressure is 1 bar.

Whatever reading in your meter should be correct. We don't need to add in any value.

If u say like adding to it, then u go Genting the reading will be different is it?

Don;t forget higher area like Genting, the pressure is slightly drop...
