4100 Turbolight & 6100 Synergie

I've been using turbolight on my Evo and H22AR vtec. So far, so good.

Heard that synergie better. NEver tried before.

aja:yea...synergie is better..n more expensive..mayb u can try it on ur evo 1st~~lol..

egnine:i don mean to say ur engine got problem or anything..is jus tat from wat i knw a 4g93 wif 10w40 comfirm no prob wan..if u say turbo or vtec car burn abit of oil tats normal but not normal engine lo..

can i mix 4100 with 6100?
i got some 6100 left from my last change but now my workshop no stock for 6100....so he suggest to mix some 6100.....will it damage the engine?

i think its not the engine oil problem....just notice oil leak at gearbox area and oil sump...maybe need to change the crank oil seal and oil pan seal...so now need to top up regularly la my engine oil hehe

I think should be any problem, cause I used to mix Motul multigrade 15w40 into my H22AR Vtec (cause 2.2cc engine need circa 4.4L) and top-up the same Multigrade oil into my Evo ...so far ok.

Still!. Sayang ler that car. Very good and non-problematic car since i bought and convert it in 2005. My H22AR engine need around 4.4L for 2.2cc engine. Wanna sell before cause thought of changing to euro R CL7, but definitely CL1 H22AR much2 better than K20AR in CL7 ler. That y still keep he car.

Used turbolight all the way since day one! (and my other car too). Surprisingly, after 5k km service, the motul engine oil seemed not much evaporated on H22AR Vtec, even though most of it on highspeeding mode. Maybe the Turbolight was too good for the engine or the bigger placement as compared to B16* engine).

As for evo, it only need 4L for early oil changed and sometimes top-up sikit2 post 2k kms. Normally the top-up amount was less the 1L prior to next 5k km service.

for info, I've been using turbolight since 2001 (that time the price was around RM65 per 4L) and my comments they are damn good engine oil. Internal Engine block, valve, cams and piston also looks very clean!

Talking about Motul gear oil -

The motul gear oil - the Type 2 FF was damn good a on NA but not on turbo. During Long distance driving, gear change become super and much2 smoother!. Currently using that in my H22AR. Super excellent!. LSD also more noticeable.

For 4WDT, Redline is the best ler. Motul oils seemed 'dragging' the 4WD gears system. Car felt a bit heavy while using the Motul engine oil.

I can't recalled which motul gearbox oil type, but i remembered i did first used it once i got my Ct9A Evo dulu2.

Surprisingly the Redline gearbox oil on 4WD system is 100% more smoother and 'lighter' than Motul gearbox oil (in my case ler). In fact, most of Evos owner that I knew used Redline gearbox oil....as compared to other brand within the same price range.

Other people case, me donno ler.
