Guys...
Anybody/workshop able to install 4 throttle body into mivec engine?
Let me know where and how much?

Thanks

i think you meant quad throttles. there is a post in the "your pics" section called super gti. check it out. gti using quad throttles. maybe the guy who did it can help you out.

i have just fabricated a unit for the 4G9x.

i have not installed it but if u r talking abt tuning. go to the engine management system and contact the drax chip guys. they'll be able to help u with ur mivec surely.

if u r talking abt making a unit, mine costed rm2000. and i can lead u to who made it.

Bro....
You have ask some one to fabricate a new throttle body or just modify from Toyota quad throttle body?
Install it in your car and let me know the difference!
Thanks for your feedback bro!

i have actually sold off my car b4 i could even fit it on. hahaha but i still have a 4G93 auto, perhaps i would try it there.

yes got the toyota, chopped off the throttle bodies individually, weld it on to a inlet manifold of a 4G9x. and make sure everything is aligned so that the throttle bodies open together.

fabricate a tank for the air.

How much you got for the quad throttle body?
How much for the fabrication?
Thanks

a beauty....

the actual pic of the custom 4 throttle that i had are only for vtec series...but then..its the closest pic that i can show...just same like 4G9X series

its in a clean condition and not like u bought it from a junkyard

here..i heard lots of rumours saying that the setting will be out..cannot idling..hard to control..bla bla bla..so what is the use of ur management ..and ur standalone for?

Quad Throttle Body

Cipan...
U make my bontot panas already! Can't wait to install it in my car!
So from your experience how long it takes to install it and tunning?

experience..hmm..had installed in several of cars...

need some passion in doing the tuning..might 3 hours or more..not including the installation of the 4 throttle... hehehe...

Cipan
You will be the first one I will contact as soon as i got it.

cipan, those are from Toyota's engine right? Hmm short & straight manifold, u'll definately lose alot of low-end torque. I wonder if it's actually possible to fit stock intake manifold (eg curved intake manifold of Proton engines) with those throttle bodies, at least still can have reasonable low-end torque. Or at least make the manifold longer.

RPW Australia does have such quad TB (that can be fitted with stock manifold) but I don't know how much is the price.

Anyway, this is the ultimate N/A mod I've always aim for :p

Bro...
I got a quote it cost 1.5 K just to fab the manifold... I don't think it is worth the money...
Anyone else able to do it with a reasonable price?

mivec 4 throt...?...my mech spent at least a month tuning it....its not tat easy.....i haf some pictures actually, posted it here b4 long time ago....but dunno how to post now.....its a very nicely done mivec 4 throt though... =)

There is 3 type of 4 throttle adapter.

First one is grinding out from a billet adapter which is the most recommended one and also it looks the best. They are the most expensive way.

Second type is by doing one piece thin of manifold adapter and another thin piece of 4 throttle adapter. Then join them together by welding them. The attachment will show how they looks like. Much cheaper concept but looks messy because of the welding line.

Third one is by casting. The cheapest way by quantity, quality will be like original manifold.

Bro...
Thanks for the cool pic.... at least I have some rough idea on how it looks like!
Any rough estimation how much for each type cost?

if the owner can bare the cost..he can actually buy what he want...such as put in the intake manifold..longer..wutever which the owner desired..

but IF the owner can't bare the cost...how? sing song??? hehehehe..this is the problem that we're facing...high demand..but.....nah..just figure it out..

The billet ones will cost about about RM 1000.

The welded ones will cost about RM 800 or so, never try before but i dont really recommend it because it will have some side effect after using a while.

The third one is the cheapest one. Most probably less than RM 500 but need to have a huge quantities. Need to pay for the tooling cost which is the mold cost.
In order to get to that price, i think you will get about 50 pieces.
