20B

if i'm not mistaken, those 20Bs, if not all, most of them come with auto tranny.

but u can of course go NA on a 20B. the last time i heard it was 4K for the engine itself.

if get engine alone no use without electronics.

lucrative as in ? Power wise - The 20B standard or mild ported has a 300-400hp max on the stock turbos . Street ported and the restricted exhaust sleeves taken out , you will be playing with 500-800hp . But for this power you will be paying the price . The engine will set you back by about 5-9k . There are sub-frame/sub-braces that are already made to fit a 20B into a FC or FD ... If not custom sub-frame work will cost you .Than there is Ecu , fuel system , porting for the engine , turbo , exhuast manifold for the turbo . Alot of work . Great if you are a tuner shop trying to get your skills shown and go drag racing . But for the common mortals like us ... We have to break our piggybank .. or go rob one ... haha ...

You would be looking to spend about 30-50k plus other little goodies like guages and stuff.

But if you ask me ... There is not other way i would like to spend that cash ..if i had it ;)

I think we can make our own 20B..basically the 20B is based on the 13B REW.. right? Just get an E shaft for the 20B from the scrapyard...three rotor housing and three side housing..wolla!! ur own home made 20B..well hurley eng. in the UK made their own and Yashiro Iron works made their own R26B..anyway its just a suggestion..x know if it will work anyway..

it is very expensive to costom make E shaft and getting one from the scrapyard you better make sure it is not bent.
a bent e shaft would damage a lot of your parts.

Getting a E-shaft from a scrapyard may be cheap but the it does not ensure the the E-shaft is in a good condition . A custom made modified 20B E-shaft cost about 3-4k . So the best course of action would be to get a 20B engine and mod the E-shaft from there .
