I've asked my mech about the possibility to transplant this engine on a volvo 122s. He said it is possible, but it has many overheating problems.

To those who are familiar with 13B engines, is this true and is there any way to solve it?

...my fren had that b4, caused by the radiator cap, changed 2 times since he swapped 13B-REW to his Savanna 1st gen. I think it can happen but not many, have to care the engine, then i think shud'n be prob dude. ;)

bigger radiator. Distilled water and coolant will do the job. Every year complete flush. Granted the o rings are not already shot you will have a happy cooling system.

thanks for the feedback, I have a little more confidence now coz the halfcut is fairly cheap and my car can only go to 1.8 max (original 16++ twin cam).

would an evo 3 radiator do? I have a spare one lying around.

depand how u locate the radiator. If room allow, put the radiator vertically then modify ur the radiator hoses (top & bottom).
The 13B stock radiator with an additional fan controller+distilled water+water wetter is one of the best way to solve the overheat problem.
