why should be having a hard time? dun tell me those already convert last time have to change back their engine.. thats just plain silly... they just said that cannot convert to 2.0 anymore... they didnt say that if you aredi convert 2-4 years back you have to change you engine..... just my 2 cents.... no offence...

Guys 1.8 can convert to 2.0 .... JPJ rules is lik dis :

1.3 and 1.5 - maximum can convert up to 1.6

1.6 maximun convert to 1.8

1.8 maximum to 2.0

I just did corversion from 1.8 to 2.0, but on a mazda car.

Just did JPJ (last week). All ok, including puspakom. And I did it without a runner.

I think, still can do lar.

actually JPJ can tahan and kacau any car that they want.
its all depends on their mood. but most of them are only cathch for "BIG FISH" .
they can even catch, tinted, HID, Hoods, ezxust pipe, bumper, pin on the bonet also kena.
when open ur bonet, saw HKS, APEXI air cleaner, 4-2-1, blow off, orr bla bla bla, than they will ask u. :"wah ini kereta untuk apa? pergi racing ar?
than kena aldi loooo.
so we just depend on our luck looo... "GOD BLESS ME"

Erm....will this type of problems happen to Evo, Silvias, skylines n etc other than proton cars???

my cousin just got blocked during the JPJ blocking at karak highway, his proton 1.8 special edition had been converted to EVOII 2000cc last time. he mentioned and showed his approval letter to the JPJ people. one jpj fellow there said that there is no such law already, any proton wira,satria can only go maximum 1800cc, no matter 1.3-1.8,1.6-1.8 and even 1.8-1.8. so, that jpj fellow wanna block his car and take his car to JPJ, and said they don mind checking who approved that letter. but his car will be totally suspended until he is willing to transplant his engine again within certain period. there was a summon for my cousin also. now my cousin's car is at JPJ. and he is looking ways to get it back.

then, really confusing with JPJ people. upset!
