Airtrek Parts Enquiry

Precisely! Tuning is only limited to the depth of your pocket. You can go insanel or just mild. For me, I just changed to stock Evo setup. Even though Airtrek has the same engine, the internals are completely different. So the 40hp lesser actually lacks of plenty good stuffs from Evo.

i found this interesting video on youtube about airtrek
i think the airtrek old timers in here recognised this guy

easy bro.. get 1 new reliable super fuel efficient car for your wife. reward yourself with the fire breathing turbo car like airtrek.
like that i need to sell my wira also. ahahaha.

from what i know, the airtrek turbo is actually a detuned version of evo 7 gta. so yeah, can do lots of stuff to it. but my target is reliability as a daily driver. looking at what u guys said, the parts are still easy to source compared to the naza citra we currently have. we actually planning to sell that citra and get another car that's easier to maintain. but mother in law have veto power on that citra so i don't know if she's ok with us getting an airtrek. ahahaha

My gawddd.. you want reliable and a reasonably cheap people carrier get the Alza. Forget about a daily turbo Airtrek man. I had the next best thing and it was a nightmare to run daily.

yeah.. alza would be a better choice for daily and reliabilitty and fc....

especially on strict budget for daily fuel and maintenance cost...

My daughter hates the Alza, she gets to drive her company one during office.....lol

What bout Caldina GT4?

Btw you guys talk like as if you need lodda cash to keep the car. How much are we talking here? Like a ballpark figure cuz my definition of "lodda cash" could mean different to yours.

I did track my Airtrek's spending in 3 categories. Service took up about 10K, mods around 30K and repairs were 11K. So in less than 7 years, I spent about 51K on the car, excluding the cost of the car itself.
