Hi guys

I am very interested in buying an Airtrek, love the look, driven one and love the feel and the punch it has.

I am currently driving a Colt Plus Ralliart Turbo, which is fine, but want something with more power, space, size, at the cost of FC.

I am from NZ, where there arent alot of Airtrek Turbo's around, so Im limited. And the options that are available within my price range are quite high in the mileage stage.

Just wanting to know, given the best care for an Airtrek, how long can the car last, even with the best maintenance on it?

Current airtrek turbos in my preferred price range where Im from go from 100kms to 150kms

Thanks

Wish I could, however I have a family, hence the space + power, etc.

EVO not on the list for family, although I would love to lol

Its gotta be a wagon, hence the colt plus, but after more power, space, etc, and a Mitsi. Either gonna be Airtrek, Legnum, Lancer Cedia Turbo. Leaning towards the airtrek as I don't like the look of the Lancer Cedia Turbos, and hate the FC on the legnum/galant wagon

Mate, the words "power" and "FC" shouldn't ever be in the same sentance

If u keep yr Airtrek stock, it can last a long time, just like any other Japanese cars. Unless you over mod it. Don't listen to others about gearbox reliability issue. Mine is running around 260whp without a problem.

About FC. If I nail it, I get around 5km/L. Normal city driving is 6.2. Highway is 7.8.

Thanks for the replies

Yeah with the power and fc, just stating that fc is not a concern, hence the thirst for more power, but within a family type mitsi vehicle within my price range

My 2002 Airtrek Turbo is at around 139k and going strong.

Best car I have ever owned. Bought it in 2005 as a Jap import to Wellington and then took it over to Sydney with me.

Get one and I'll introduce you to ECU tuning :-)

I stopped becos I was bored. When the heat is on, I'll find ways to mod it even the cost is cheap. Just wanted to crench the thirst.
