Hi guys,
please gv me some idea for example which oil suitable for Airtrek Turbo, oil filter, and others wear and day parts. thank you.

When you get the car, I reckon the following:

1) Oil change / Oil Filter
2) ATF change
3) Brake fluid change
4) Power steering fluid change
5) Timing belt change
6) Timing belt related oil seals
7) Water pump change
8) LSD oil change
9) Coolen change
10) Air filter change (just change to K&N, no replacements after that)
11) Plugs change

Then you may want to check the following:
1) Brake pads
2) CV/drive shaft boot cover
3) Service/check aircond

On normal 5000km intervals, do the following:
1) Oil change / Oil Filter
2) Clean Air filter

Every 15K, ATF and LSD oil change. Otherwise, do the others when necessary. On the first service, prepare around RM2.5K. Good luck.

I am using Mobil 1 - Fully Sync all these while. No issues or what so ever for the past 5 years. ATF is Mitsubishi Diaqueen and LSD is Motul.

Oil filter question is answered in the other thread.

oic. i have castrol magnatec, mobil 1 and total full syn. so semi also can use, rite?
the ATF must MD? cos i got another choosing is caltex ATF-J is synthetic.
LSD is the rear gearbox, rite?

Bro, I think semi-sync is OKAY. I had experience with Castrol Magnetec last time in my AE111. Runs okay for the first 2000km and there after, engine sounds rough and boomy. Maybe just my car only.

ATF please use Diaqueen. The slow-box INVECS II is best with it. You don't wanna fry your gearbox though I heard some say is okay with other ATF. Many of the trek owners use Diaqueen for years, running above 250whp with no problem at all. So I truly advise you to stick with it.

Yes, LSD is the front and rear small 'gearbox' I am referring to.

Bro, seems like you got your car already? How is it? Share some of your personal impression and feeling about it. Got picture?

oic...but just now you recommend ATF and LSD change on every 15k / km. but ATF normally not change on every 20k / km or depend on driving style?
i will get it on this evening, today just done jpj transfer name.

Honestly, I don't know.. hahahaha.. I just send my car to the mechanic and he'll settle for me. Maybe others can answer.

Well, u need a trustworthy mechanic to handover the car to him and trust that what he does are only needful stuffs. :)

PS: And I have one mechanic like that. :)

bro biao, my advice is better to avoid using castrol because nowdays alot of fake castrol oil. better to use oil that have no imitation one..

can u pls enlighten me which motor oil doesn't has imitation 1?:hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm::hmmmm:

Just try to buy from reputable places like petrol stations and well known tuning shops.

tesco selling total(i think i got the brand wrongly) 5l rm149 fs...
if u lucky enauf shell semi 5l rm90 too...

Lubes sold in Tesco are imported themselves through their EU Tesco channel. These lubes are not warrantied under the gas brand locally in Malaysia. Example Shell. If you read the labels, it says EU market & has French on it too.

I was told by my friend whose sale agent for Mobil. But what the heck, I still use em and I don't have any problem at all. Best of all, it's RM80 cheaper!!!

even you use local oil also the same if your engine got problem. gas factory also no care 1.

To an extent, if there's an issue after changing oil, if investigation finds that it is caused by engine oil problem, there's certain warranty to cover but then, I can imagine number of red tapes, procedures and process to go thru just to get the claim. So you are right, got warranty or not, makes no difference to us.
