Can a V-tec NA achieve close to 300km/h?

In order to achieve 300km/h the engine needs to be a big capacity one or a high horse power force induction...we need to take into consideration whether the engine is capable of generating that much power to properl the car all the way to 300km/h and not forgetting the gearing.

Even the car could remotely do 300km/hr (will downhill assist kua?), the car would be highly unstable due to aerodynamics, as the car wasn't intended nor designed to do such speed.......and might take a very long stretch of road and time to touch the 300 mark....

i think its possible fr klang to genting take 45min, my personal xperience, drive my seg fr pandan perdana ~1230am start fr ulik roundabout reach genting, if not mistaken 37min. that time less traffic. if fr klang, means start fr kesas highway, 8 min to pandan perdana, i think mayb can, mayb midnite lah.

my brother in law told me his fren, n them 5 person in wira 1.3, midnite drive fr sg wang, reach kuala kubu baru, take only half hour, that time, when i heard this, this guy must be gila 1 lol.

To reach 300km/h you need around 400hp..with achievable gearing...

Doesn't matter what engine, what engine size, what modification, what manufacturer, ...

Maybe he's driving this monster

Ya but that one is turbo and surely cost way over rm40k to build with months of research and development. But N/A, without even doing a dyno?? Maybe the guy and his tuner got very potent black magic, should send their CV to Honda to build F1 engines for McLaren F1 team then!

My CL7 can reach 240+ max already with k100. Intake and mid to end exhaust. Haha. Take a bit time to achieve :p
Saw my friend k24 dynoed can reach 260 over leh. I think quite close already to 300kmh.
240 I am damn scared already. Can't go further. Some more highway not always so straight and got others car.
I don't trust civic can reach 300kmh.
Let's vote !!!!

Dyno speed does not have aero drag and the road irregularities (especially if going uphill even just a bit). 260kph is also still far away leh to 300kph! The higher the speed, the harder and longer time to achieve it. Or maybe that guy thinks 70-80kph difference is not much so 220-230kph is close enough to 300kph. Plus the Ferrari actually was toying with him. :driver:

my kancil can rev up to 16k rpm....

My friend's kancil rev up to 8k rpm...

Evo or Impreza is possible I think. Even though they have 2.0 litre engine, they are capable of sustaining high horse power.

Don't forget that Civic is a FWD car. Not that stable I think...

Avantech can do it with their turbocharged Civic I think.

hahahah, maybe the Vtec NA car only exist in driving sims, with cheat code...

If stock std then cannot coz still not enough power and gear ratio is not long enough as well. If modded to be able to make bigger power and rev higher and/or longer gearing, then can. Again they are 2.0 turbo engines, not NA.

That reminds of playing the GT2/3 in PS1/2, where you can put in the cheat for the 1000HP Escudo Pikes Peak to reach >400kph and even make the car wheelie!

Stock Evo and Impreza sure cannot reach 300kmh. But around 270kmh or 280kmh is possible. If both cars are pushed around 500hp or 600hp, then I think 300kmh can be considered.

Talking about Gran Turismo, I've tried before on GT4 with a DC5 Type R NA with around 330hp with weight reduction to around 1000kg-1100kg. Even in game also I struggle to reach 300kmh. Real life and some more in Malaysia roads? I don't think so.

now that what i call "power of dreams"...sure dude keep on dreaming...mana tahu can reach 400 km/h after a while...

hahaha...f1 different story laa...beside you wont be able to drive that on our smooth and silky road...have to pit every other time you meet a pot hole...

Renesis, Evo and impreza can reach 300 but need to bump up the power. Not easy feat to reach 300 ad a lot of works on the aerodynamics and handling need to be consider also.

I thought stock aerodynamics would work just fine since cars like R32, R33, R34 Skyline GT-R and JZA80 Supra can reach 300kmh even without much aero mods.
