What's The Difference Between RON95 and RON97

Really? I've never had any decent performance or FC figures with Shell

Still testing though but seems more responsive with Petron rather than Shell. But FC
seems to be more, but still testing, have yet to be able to confirm.

Maybe could be just psychology wise

You stepping more, so more responsive and more fuel.....

No need to step much and the car seems to be fun to drive than usual but petrol drop
faster than usual when pump shell. I have to do mileage count to get an answer.

tested the diff with my ex-kelisa when RON95 first came out...

with RON97... i get about 80km more per tank... and the diff was only about RM10 per full tank at the time...engine felt lighter too...

test was done using the same brand taken at the same station for both RONs...

n my wife currently drives a kenari... she also says shell has the worst fc among all...

Whoa really that much difference?? On a Kelisa some more? That difference translate to how many km/ltr extra then?

caltex - the best.. :top:

Does Caltex offer loyalty card program like Petron/Esso?

for me :
1st choice - Petron
2nd choice - BHP
3rd choice - Petronas
4th choice - Shell.

Then what about the link? :hmmmm:

Ah! mentioned there March 7....

"The retail price of RON 97 petrol will be RM2.90 per litre effective tomorrow, March 7. This is a 20 sen increase from the existing RM2.70 per litre."

Old news.....

i dont think there is any difference between them as they are same and work in same manner

You mean RON95 and RON97 or between brands? If you're talking octane, then you're not quite right. Different ignition times makes a huge difference for a high compression car but you're right that they work the same, ie - they're sprayed in, it ignites and it gives the car power.

Yup, higher compression engine won't be able to run well on Ron 95....:banghead:
