how n what product did u use to polish yellowish headlamp. (after sanded using 1000-2000 sand paper)

saw my friend DIY clean his headlamp wif 1500 grit sandpaper and he finish it off with autosol...
 
Got commercial headlamp cleaner too, but still will go yellow under the hot sun within one year.. have to polish, then go spray clearcoat.
 
No, car polish only works for glass headlights..

home repair tricks

Use finest sandpaper you can get.. 800-1500 grit... work your way to the highest number.. if minor, use 1500 first, then use 1500 again, but this time use it wet..

Then a lot of people don't know this, but toothpaste is abrasive also, and way higher than 1500 girt for finishing.

Good tip for repairing old car plastic headlight, this tip does not work on glass, obviously.
