HID, High Intensity Discharge, refers to lighting technology that relies on an electrical charge to ignite xenon gas in a sealed bulb, similar to the lightning phenomenon in the sky. HID lighting does not have a filament but instead creates light by igniting an electrical discharge between two electrodes in an air tight tiny quartz capsule filled with xenon gas. HID lighting are also called Xenon lighting, referring to the gas inside the bulb.
HID stands for "High Intensity Discharge". HID lights get their name from the intense light produced by the electrical discharge. HID Conversion Kits give you the option of installing true HID lights practically on any car that did not originally come with them.

Bump: The malfunction in using the HID lamp system
1. Lighting dispersion
(1) Please check the installation position of the bulb. You can adjust the thickness of the lamp holder or adjust the position of the head lamp, insuring the point of the lighting is the same.
(2) The effect of the lamp shell is not so perfect; you can change the new lamp shell.
2. The flicker of the lamp
(1) Please check the stabilization of the power supply.
(2) Change the ballast to see whether it can work.
(3) Change the bulb to see whether it can work.
3. The flicker and the extinguish of the lighting
(1) Please check whether the current is proper.
(2) Check whether the circuit is connecting the car computer, if so; please change the head lamp of the car circuit.
4. The failure of lighting the lamp
(1) Please check the installation of circuit
(2) Check the power supply
(3) Check to see whether there is any creepage of the power supply.
5. The two head lamps are not lighting at the same time or just one lamp can be lighting.
(1) It is related to the car model
(2) It is related to the bulb specialty.
(3) It is related to the installation line.
You can try to replace the bulb and ballast, and sometimes the malfunction is not related to the product quality, but for the wrong installation or the bad connection
6. The failure of the bulb
(1) Check whether there is burnout of the bulb. (The tube will turn to black if it is broken)
(2) Check the indicator light of the ballast to see whether it is on
(3) Check whether there is 12V from the input power voltage.
(4) Check the proper installation of the anode and the cathode.
(5) Check whether the tie-in connection and the sheet copper are fastness.
(6) Check the power supply of the origin car circuit, if not, please maintain it.
(7)Check the voltage
(8) Open the head lamp after power on
7. The bulb is not so bright, the different brightness between the two lamps
(1) Check the power supply
(2) Check the input current, adjusting it through the adjusting bore of the ballast
(3) The voltage is not stable; as a result, the effect of the discharge is bad. Please use the special line to connect the accumulator
8. The ballast can not work; what is more, there is not any response.
Maybe the malfunction from the inside high voltage discharge component of the ballast. You can replace new ballast.
9. The ballast can work well with the bulb at the beginning, but extinguish 2-3 seconds later, after that it can work well again.
The bulb is aging badly so that the ballast can not work well, please replace the new bulb.
10. The ballast can work well for about 1 or 2 weeks, and then it is broken.
The inside component of the ballast is broken, there is some difference between the inside components. There are thousands of components in a series of the ballast as a base, sometimes; some of the capability would be changed because of the working condition, you can try to replace new ballast.?
11. The bulb can work but can not up and down properly as a high and low function.
Usually, it is the problem of the control box; you can change a new control line that it can work well.
12. As a high and low function bulb, one of the high beam is higher the other.
You should check the base of the bulb carefully when installation, and pay more attention to the install angle of the bulb. It is not the product quality but the installation.
13. Which kind of conversion kit can be used in the car that is made after year 2005? As there are some malfunctions as installation, for example, flicker.
The new car after 2005 are most controlled by the computer, it is a little different with the old car (the old car is designed for 55W car, so our product is designed as 35W). As for the new computer control car, we are working hard on designing the bran-new MCU chip in order to match the new car. We are planning to launch the product in next half year of 2007.
