to give u an idea of which is better....

World Time Attack (WTA) lists the RSR as semi slicks while the KU36 isnt.

haaha yeah....... threadwear rating also diff rite? if x silap kumho 180, rsr 140........compound difference..... but i have used ku36 and was satisfied the whole way...... for an all rounder it performs as well as the higher n more pricier brands such as ad07/ad08, potenza 01r/re11, etc.... what i salute the most, for a street legat dot tyres is that the side wall is super stiff, so even though the threadwear is 180, it could still take higher G-force at corners due to less flexing......comparable to rsr, r1r, etc.........it last longer, it looks sick in thread pattern, same as rsr..... but rsr have more size options rather than the kumho.... the stock n availability also quite ok compared to kumho...

well, ive used both n they r damn great.... meet my purpose la,a daily driver with spirited driving style n occoasional track day.....have to endure rain n shine.... if u want comfortable, long lasting and superb in wet, get diff tyres...:smokin:

FYI: personally rsr provide better lap times than the kumho....not by much but after few laps the gap is significant...

How also, not cheap tyres. I always see many fit nice bling bling rims, but cheap tyres.
Better fit 2nd hand rims and good tyres. Tyres are safety items.....

Try calling this importer of Federal tyres (Motor sports tyres) to find availability at which dealer.....
Key Vector Sdn. Bhd.
10, Jalan Kuchai Maju 6
Off Jalan Kuchai Lama
K.L.
Tel:7987 1889

For Kumho, funny thing is I saw many of their advertisement for KU36, but the importer or distributor not mentioned, and no contact or address mentioned too.....:banghead:

No, they are not parallel importers. Parallel importers will never advertise to bring cost down. They will let importers advertise and they cash in.
Kumho used to be distributed by one of my business associate but they have lost the agency a couple of years back. Seems they change hands twice already after that. Also seems the tyre models are split and distributed by 2 distributors now.
For KU36 can check with HupShun in Sunway also, or UHP Racing (try to search for their contact later)
Do you mean Toyo R888, can try this shop as they are Toyo distributor (hope they still are)

PENANG % KEDAH
USED both b4 Trust me better buy RSR do not buy KU36. DRY & WET conditions RSR Win the KU36
Example: Really WET conditions RSR MAX 140km/h KU36 MAX 120KM/h
Example 2: Corner speed RSR 80KM/h KU36 70KM/h
But one weakness for RSR weak sidewalls compare to KU36

Their price were identical mine 215/45/17 RM480+-

On Sept 8th, 2012, I've got my RS-R 205-45-16 for RM 480/pcs

Compared to my previous RE-001, RS-R perform way better in Wet & Dry.

I've been tougeing in wet. Spin my car once with RE-001, but with RS-R, I'm impress. No sign of understeer/oversteer (the same speed I went in corner with RE-001).

Push further, it will require additional 20-30km/h until loose grip (in Wet).

Dry performance, overwhelming! Some say grip equivalent to R888..
