1.8 block is taller than 1.6.

1.8 conrod longer.

1.8 crankshaft wider.

Both block same bore, 81mm.

Etch the 1.6 block serial no. on the 1.8 block.

yup...1.6 piston size r same wit 1.8....

the diff is in the 1.8 crank n con rod...
tat is y 1.8 block r taller...

yeah i can feel the different xspecially after 3K RPM.
I did PNP also coz scare got white smoke after fix it into my block.

My next project (not sure yet)

1. TB (perdana)
2. Inlet miniflow (4G93)
3. 421 (after market one or GTi)
4. piping
5. GTI bodykits

so what ecu and wiring u r using now ? standard hah ? can support or not.....i think if u change ur wiring and ecu with 4g93 punya for sure lagi zzzzzooommmmmm

yup...1.6 piston size r same wit 1.8....

Actually 1.8 piston is taller by about 1mm than 1.6.

Legally, changing block or upgrading displacement requires JPJ registration.

joeker...if lets say 4g15 bore 2 1.6 nonit 2 register also nvm rite...sumore they wont know also coz the engine code is still 4g15 rite?
