Dear HPC Instructors,
It is a new year and HPC is moving forward with bigger
and better things for 2007. We have four dates
confirmed with Sepang beginning on April 22nd for our
events. Further we will have up to 8 R3 track
prepared cars that will be geared towards racing
instruction at all the events this year. The schedule
will be up on our website shortly. More dates will be
added as they become available. With that, HPC is
looking to further strengthen our events through the
certification of instructors. Proton R3 has
graciously arranged to coordinate the certification
program that will be conducted at the Proton Shah Alam
test track by the personnel from chassis and special
vehicle testing. This is the same course that all the
R3, race and test drivers for Proton undergo and will
provide you with a valuable tool and enhanced
confidence for your instruction as well as to improve
your own skills. For those who do not know, the track
is a banked oval with an infield.
As usual, the benefits to our instructors are free
track time at HPC events as well as accomodations at
out of state events, but more so, this is an
invaluable experience for the price. The course will
encompass two weekend days with cars and all meals
provided. Following are the details and the available
dates.
Number of participants/session: 15 pax, Cars provided
Cost: RM690 per person
Duration of training: 2 days (8.30am ~ 5.30pm)
The course will focus upon the following key elements:
i. Classroom theory including standardization of
instruction (approximately 3 hrs)
ii. Cockpit drill and familiarization
iii. Steering placement/operation and gear shifting
refinement
iv. Maneuver techniques
v. Skid control techniques
vi. Braking techniques
Items provided:
i) 4 instructors, 2 crews
ii) Food & drinks (breakfast, lunch, tea break)
iii) Proton Cars
iv) Certificate
v) HPC certified instructor credentials
The following dates are available:
1. Session # 1 : 3rd and 4th March 2007
2. Session # 2 : 17th and 18th March 2007.
Please confirm the date you wish to do the course as
soon as possible as there is a limit of 15 instructors
certified per weekend.
Please feel free to forward this email to any drivers
not on this list that you believe have the experience
and would like to be an HPC instuctor
As usual, I can be contacted via this email or at
017-362-3088.
Best regards,
Brian
