bring along ur trustworthy mech when viewing the car just like what i did.

as leslie said, the loan will be bit or more difficult because of the car ages and also it falls under sport car category. so not many bank are willing to give the loan.

happy hunting :burnout:

the quick and accurate way is diagnose it with OBD II Scanner...u gotta get the trouble code and check the said problem/sensor connection

hi all...I'm new to the jdm scene.looking to get an evo(7-8) .. I have been following the MLOC threads carefully to look at the costs .maintenance.and any issues to look for when buying a car.Today i test drove this particular one i found.

Mitsubishi Evolution 8 Turbo 2.0 - Cars for sale Kuala Lumpur - Mudah.my

quick question....is the standard clutch that hard to press or is it something adjustable or something wrong .feels like driving a lorry.at least compared to another manual i drove which was the satria neo R3 ( the 145hp one) .and clearance on this matter would be highly appreciated thanks !!

Which lorry did you compare it to? I find the clutch on the Daihatsu one relatively light.

have a look on what clutch it is.. stock clutch in evo is quite comfortable. if its hard.. it might be those old type exedy single plate racing clutches.. the old exedy ones are quite hard...

Which Evo to buy, Evo 8 has no MIVEC, Evo 9 has MIVEC for Exhaust and then Evo 10 has MIVEC on intake and exhaust but is very expensive now and look same as Preve, which is better for tuning more HP from turbo?

Want crazy power, agree with pangyau - hands down for 8 & 9. Personally I would go for the 9 if my heart can take it. Retarded aging old man like myself has gotten lazy over the years and opt for a X.

Agree with Phobian...
However, young heart and just love the balance between comfort, family, sports and speed... chose EvoX too. Hahah

Common problem E7-9: Plenty room for upgrade.
This is and old car approaching 10 years approximately.
Required some attention base on your satisfaction.

AYC pump, transfer case ACD depends on previous owner.
If lack of maintenance + frequent to track/spirited drive the life span will be shorter.
But you may source the parts either half-cut or new (both also expensive)
The aftermarket also expensive and not really comfort for daily drive...

hi... dear all sifus out there...
lately i m searching for evo9... and i found this car quite nice in mudah.my
Mitsubishi Evo Lancer (M) - Cars for sale Selangor - Mudah.my

anyone know about this car history and is it a good buy?

thanks in adv.
It's been on sale for quite some time already. Actually he also posted the car in the marketplace here. Price a bit high but seems quite heavily modded already so if that's what you're looking for then just check it out.
There's one white MR offered in mudah also around the same price, and many other already offering around 130K.

so evo9 now is abt RM130- RM138k?
that's the reasonable market price?
Seems so, but again have to check their condition. Around a yr ago, most were trying to sell at around 150-160K but I noticed they're having tough to to sell, so the price keeps dropping. :) There's only one which I know got sold very fast. It was a 2006 silver unit, which was sold within a few weeks at 150K. I know because I went there to check it out myself and I was too late by a week! :(
The car though was indeed in very good condition so no surprise that it got sold fast.

Hi MiNiFans,

why u said so that's not Evo9? anything obvious can differentiate? :)

guys, do u think is worth to buy a car that had changed it original engine to another engin?
example, an evo 8 original engine faulty and lot of problem and change to another evo8 low mileage halfcut?
