The McLaren P1 LM is one of the few ultra exclusive examples that made first public appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed last week and left something special to remember.

It completes the hillclimb in a blistering 47.07 seconds,
making it the fastest road-legal car to ever run the iconic course. The P1 LM beats the previous record set by Nissan's GT-R Nismo back in 2014, with a laptime of 49.27 seconds.

Propelled by twin-turbo V8 and electric motors, collectively producing 986hp of total output, there is no surprise the P1 LM would smash the record. From the video, the car looks mind-blowingly rapid, and the way it dances on the edge of the bumpy Goodwood park surface tells you just how serious the Mac is. However it miraculously sticks to the road thanks to 40 percent more downforce generated by a modified splitter, rear wing and dive planes. Likely further adjusted to match the short, makeshift circuit.

The car was driven by a former Indy 500 winner, Kenny Brack and it crossed the finish line at 218 km/h.
