Myvi 1.3 "Check Engine" light

hello all sifu, my 2006 myvi "Check Engine" light appeared at my meter. it happened since last week but only for a 10 minutes of driving then the sign is gone, but yesterday the sign appeared all the way while im driving.reach home check all the sensor connections,all are still intact.i take off the negative terminal at the battery and leave it for one night.this morning started the car, and the "check engine" light is still appear. what is the problem on my engine?O2 sensor fault? im using RON95 and no mod at all on the engine.only the DIY oil catch tank..

You might want to check your vacuum lines for leaks. Otherwise just go to a P2 mech that has the diagnostic machine and pay RM65 to diagnose and find out which sensor is spoilt

Hye there,thanks for the reply..i suspect its the o2 sensor,need to check with p2 sc..where is the vacuum lines located?near the air filter?

Basically those thin rubber hoses around the airbox near to the throttle body and all, make sure they are all connected and not leaking. But you didn't say your car was idling rough or anything so I doubt it's the vacuum. I had problems with a brittle vacuum hose that crumbled when I touched it. Caused a lot of grief because I didn't see the breakage.

i just changed o2 sensor...it only costs me only rm160..just DIY...and the check engine was GONE...
