Finally, over 300 days have passed and we're back to the year's most anticipated JDM event. The 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon. What's so different about this year's TAS? well, all I know is, 3 of the best different 4WD turbo have recently been launched. They will and they have graced the show. First of the new Subaru WRX. then there's the Evo X and the final blow? the New Nissan GTR.

Here's a Yellow Hat Nissan GTR. One of the most extensive compared to the rest. This the luxury, VIP version of the GTR. Previously not achievable with the R32, R33 and R34. Since the new GTR is in a league higher than it ever was, now put on par with the Porsches and others in excess of 400bhps, it has also grown up into something more Hugo Boss than say, Nike in it's previous form.

Looks like everyone owns a GTR. Mine's have one, this repainted orange one is from GTR-SNS, Top Secrets brought theirs, Amuse showcased theirs complete with a video on the racetrack already, Fujitsubo jacked theirs to highlight their new exhaust so on an so forth. Apparently Nissan didn't want to bring any. No one knows why but Nismo brought theirs painted. It was still in it's raw carbon fiber form for the Nismo Festival. which you will see in our next part of the Tokyo Auto Salon 2008 coverage.

What's Tokyo Auto Salon without the outrageous segments. Some will set new standard, some will stay as the day's classic joke but all completes the show.

Evo Xs and WRXs. Aplenty. This year's Mitsubishi's similar set up saw various versions of the Evo X for different purposes. Please check out the pictures. Naturally developments are still underway so parts are pretty limited which is why some may not look as intense as we wish.

Celebrities always stir up havoc. We've seen people like Tarzan, Orido, Taniguchi and the lot. All busy with PR and tending to their works team's exhibitions.

Blitz's Evo X. one of the more intense participants.

Ericsson's line up of exhaust systems for the new performance BMWs. They had 2 new M3s on display complete with amazing aesthetics and their very own exhaust systems.
