OFFICIAL RELEASE: The Couch Racer Challenge!

The Couch Racer Challenge was announced in early February by Ignition.my with the aim to get more people into racing. Organised together with Motorsport Playground and supported by PROTON R3 Motorsports, the ultimate prize is a drive in the latest Satria Neo R3 at Round 3 of Ignition.my’s Saturday Night Fever series on April 23rd.
“In line with our aims to assist the new Playstation-generation of Street racers to get into proper motorsports, the Couch Racer Challenge has got to be the simplest and quickest route to your motorsports dream!” said Adian Yein, Director of Ignition.my.
The path is simple: head to Sunway and clock-in a quick lap at Motorsport Playground’s Sony Playstation-GT5 consoles at RM20.00 for 2 attempts, and if your time is within the Top-16, you have the opportunity to compete head-to-head in the Finale on 2nd April 2011. From there, the Best-8 from the Finale will undergo a Driver Selection process, and one (1) driver will be selected based on his real-world driving skills and car-control capabilities.

The selected individual will undergo basic Driver Training by Ignition.My before being unleashed on the Campro Chase category of Saturday Night Fever in a PROTON Satria Neo R3.
