which intercooler is good for up to 300bhp

i don't need some super chun stuff... i want highest efficiency from stock i/cs...
would a 2jz supra 22" OEM intercooler do? its ugly but its usable ma ;)
how about VR4 / VR4 RS OEM intercoolers?? how would these compare to the one of the supra??
or better still any other i/c to recommend for my application... i dun care ugly or what... i need it cheap oni :lol:

btw what are bar and plate I/Cs??

ps. i heard 3rd gen supra I/Cs sucks and should look for 4th gen ones... true? how to differentiate?? :(

im using only evo7 i/cooler.running at max 1.7bar most of the time.no problem yet.
