Street ShootOut events for 2005 will culminate in a Championship at the end of the year with Trophies and vouchers for Tyres and Performance Parts (not just R3 parts) with a total value of thousands of RM. This direction is chosen in order to maintain SSO as the premier Autocross and Drift event of the country as well as to increase the entries, attendance, and profile of these events to improve the enthusiast level of motorsports in Malaysia.
This comes in a year when R3 are also looking at staging events outside of Klang Valley in order to bring these new, spectacular and consumer-friendly avenues of motorsports to the rakyat.
Final details will be released before the first event of the year to be held at Danga Bay in Johor Baru on the 2-3 April 2005. The closing date for entry for the JB event is 21 March 2005 so be sure to register NOW!!
Information at this point in time is as follows:
- Championship points will be awarded to the top positions of each event and category for both Time Attack and Drift Attack
- Final Championship standings will be based on highest total Championship points at the end of the year
- Trophies for Top-3 in each event and category
- Prize Vouchers (still in discussion with sponsors) for the winner of each category

4th - 45
5th - 30
6th - 20
7th - 15
8th - 10
Drift specific:
Most smoke - 25
Best flair - 25
Hardest trier - 15
Best looking ride - 15
