Slow page loading!

dunno if this is the right section to post this topic...
i think the background for this forum is too fancyful.
its slow in loading a new page.
maybe shud just use a plain background instead, which i think is more practical.
i might be wrong.
but other forums are much faster when loading a new page.
any comments from experts?

actually i think alot of users log onto zth ... so zth heavy traffic compared to other sites punya forum .. so takes longer to load lorr ... i no expert laa .. just my opinion ..

for Corporate, yes, white background is da best (but still it may not fit all corporate image).
for funk forum like ZTH, not necessary.

back to your question earlier, nope. I didn't feel that it's slow.
Time to check your broadband ISP (streamyx, Jaring and etc). Lately we have a lot of complain about Streamyx.

Perhaps it's the advertisements that's loading slow? I notice when ZTH loads slow, the status bar usually shows that it's waiting for the advertisement website to reply back.

yes, my mistake.
i dont think its the background coz it loads quite fast.
but the rest takes bout 6-10 seconds.
it must b the advertisements.
which is needed to generate revenue, but the revenue is not used to increase the internet speed which the server is using...

my download speed from streamyx test is averaging bout 800kbps.
yahoo/google takes bout 1 second, gra forum takes bout 2 seconds.
so i dont think its my connection speed.
if my connection speed were 2 b slower, it will take longer time.
my office internet takes bout 3 seconds 2 load yahoo.
meaning it takes bout 20 seconds 2 load zth.
so its actually quite frustrating if your internet speed is bout 300kbps, especially office environment.

fork sports , maybe ure using an older version of a flash playerto view the adverts mostly in flash which causes it seem slow to load ?

btw i think the revenue is helping zth to sustain itself ? since the cost should be already quite high due to heavy traffic from marketplace and spammers in certain forums . at any given moment theres at least 100 over users online im sure - cant see now due to new layout .

as the saying goes - free mau complain apa lagi . lol
