Hi guys..

need your guys opinion. how to make sure the engine (standard B16A) safe to Rev more than normal limit. let say 9.5K or even higher to 10K rpm?

Any part need to replace it? Please list down the parts and the price if you know it .

any advantages/disadvantage sdoing this? TQ in advance.

It's not just the sum of parts.
Usually the first thing that people might say is valvetrain.

But valve clearance plays a part as well, and that's dependent on the amount of rod stretch you get by doing 9.5-10K rpm.

Revving higher always causes more wear, but it's only worth doing it if you can get out more power from it.

abg udengfahlawi & abg hattech, u guys entering sepang drag battle this saturday? ahaks..

thats the reason why standard b16a has fuelcut+revcut+speedcut on a standard stock factory ecu.

anything above the rev limit between 8200-10,000 is not standard.

nothing to replace, keep the engine and ecu stock and you will be fine.

in the simple word dont rev over 9k if ur engine is std b16a.
by take out the rev limit by using rsm or rechipped the ecu
didnt mean u can rev ur car over the red line..

only valvetrain need to be change? how about the cam? stendet cam can ka?

B16A standard cam wont have any more power after 8.5krpm, if u want rev 9.5k to 10k rpm (with plenty of power) u need very high cam + valve spring + ti retainers.

on top of that, you need good well balance block to beat rotational inertia. so that means forged and light weight expensive internal block parts to withstand high tempreature once ure in the 10k rpm zone. so in simple english, just order a crated endurance engine from spoon :)
