Guys, I have some problem, after some investigations:

- usually when temperature passes half, radiator fan will on and once the temp is slightly below half, it stops
- problem is, sometimes even after half, the fan is still not moving causing the temperature raised high (almost red bar)
- i thought the fan broken, tried to knock the motor (suggestion from a friend), still not working
- but, when I turn the AC on, both fans (radiator & AC) are on now. Meaning, my radiator fan is working! It is just maybe the sensor of telling the fan the temperature is high (more than half) is problem maybe?
- this is not a problem when on cruising, temp stays at 1/3, but when stops/traffic jam, with AC off, temp starts to raise. So, to temporarily solve it, I need to turn the AC to keep the temp low.

please, any inputs?

Get it checked. Should work as you mentioned for twin fans system. One run on radiator and another on air con sensor.

It could be a case of weak radiator fan motor. When that happens, symptoms such as yours appear. Pretty common for Myvi (ask izso), I cannot speak for other cars.

Try pushing the blade to 'motivate' the fan to spin.if it spins then like ixeo said, the fan is weak.

I experienced before on my 1.8 waja with single fan, dual speed.mine is caused by poor grounding.after adding the cheap additional grounding, never encounter it again.

Myvi? Solution is burn the car, claim insurance and buy something else.

Myvis are haunted I tell you.

Yeah, I have tried it before, but it is still wont spin.. I did have additional grounding installed for my car... hmm

This is a stupid suggestion considering you're not a noob but did you check your fan connection?

One misplaced pin or dislodged pin and the switch will not work whilst not affecting your aircon connection.

Hahaha you sure myvi's are haunted? Then your bmw1jzparking is the devil reincarnated.
My BMW is just a bloody old retired with triple heart bypass retiree.
