Questions about Audi A4...

hi guys...i was planning to get myself an audi a4 year 2000...but the question is i dont know anything about audi cars since i dont know any of audi drivers now...my question is will it cost me much in service and maintenance..?and is there any place i can go if i want to give it some mod or do i have to custom it..?i really need some advice from those taiko who have 1 audi of their own..help me out here pls.........
