but sometime when i put cd in it i will hear a loud noise..the noise is like when the cd spin and u can hear scratching noise..duno y like that..getting fedup where i hav to switch between 2 console all the time..if im not wrong my console cannot mod wan

y ur console canot mod???all console can b mod..is just a change of an IC which makes our PS2 play fan pan and fan pan DVD....ur console bot frm original SONY or frm those shops sells PS2?? if frm sony directly they didnt mod the ps2...so certain games u cant play...mayb u bring ur ps2 for some check up wats wrongs...i assume is ur IC if ur console having this prob since u bot..if ur problem started recently either ur disc lens or disc motor...this is 2 common things in ps2..

PSP price's at RM950 for the value pack.. My fren bought it few weeks ago.. Not a bad investment.. Value for money I guess... Haha... But games wise... TOO EXP...! Wonder if there'll be any pirated versions... Haha...

i bot ps2 for rm1100 with serial number 3 onwards...those serial number with 6 onwards will have faster loading time..damn...

super ez to identify....1st of all is the box....old console is completely blue box....uplift version with serial 6onwards is black box with so hightech colourful 45 degrees stripes...white box is chrismas edition..small box is ps2 slim edition...i heard the slim 1 got heating problem coz dun have fan and heat sink cant diperse the heat properly...so buy the normal console with new facelift version....buy original 2nd player controller...pls...u know y wen u play the games...example racing games...if u press lightly the car will accelerate slow,if u press harder the car will go faster...like accelerating pedal lah...dun save a few bucks for ps1 controller..big no no...

wow..so many ps2 cant play dvd 9..touch wood my still working well although is old model....

my ps2 can load dvd9 but sometimes it cant read dvd9 also...but usually i play those other games to get the console heat up and play dvd9 games..hahha...well..might b the lens or the IC prob..get to technician to work it out...
i'll post here if got any solution for updates...

BS..slim version is good compact...but i still wondering how they can disperse all those heat frm the microprocessor by just using heat sink and no fan...well...my fren using slim version seems no problem so..up to u bro...old and slim version still fine choice

dude, psp already can play fanpan-version game lolx, but unless you play it at home with your computer nearby, there isn't much of a point since you'll be stuck with maybe just 1 game or so.

reason is sony UMD disk holds up to 1.8gb, yes i know that there's psp game thats only few hundred megs, but that also means there is game over 1gb. i dunno if i'm up to date or not but i thought the memory stick duo only holds up to 1gb max, and it's priced at around 500ringgit if not mistaken. so if you load your fanpan game from the stick, then you'll be stuck to smaller game and maybe you can't even switch them if you want to play alot of them on the go, like on a vacation, so in the end if you buy more than 1 memory stick duo it might be cheaper to go for retail game, until they came out with cheap memory media converter that is, like CF card, or best if ipod lolx.. 60gb.

oh ya, so far i heard they only crack it up to firmware version 1.5, so for those who get the new one, 1.51 1.52 or the newest 2.0, no luck for you getting fanpan game liau lolx..

btw if ps3 300euro maybe can still belive lar.. even the xbox priced at around 400usD, i dun think ps3 will go that much cheaper. will buy a ps2 for my little bro's birthday in 40 days time i think lolx...

im lucky to have it modded with a good chip

for PSPs if u guys want fan pan, heres a way
buy a 1GB memory stick
download the ISOs via bittorrent
'install' it in the memory stick
viola, fan pan game ;)
tried on my friend's PSP, works fine for most of the games :D
