#1 suspect is the driveshaft.
However, it could also be due to simpler problems. Remove your sparkplugs and check them. Are they in good condition? An unevenly firing sparkplug can cause vibration under acceleration or at high RPMs.
If the spark plugs are in good condition, remove them one at a time, attach to the plug cable in the open, and crank up the engine. See how it's sparking. Cylinders 1 & 4 fire at the same time while cylinders 2 & 3 fire at the same time. Wira uses the "wasted spark" system.
If one of the plugs isn't firing, e.g. plug 1 isn't firing, you'll notice that plug 4 fires with extra intensity, and the spark will even cross the gap to terminate at the engine head.
In such a case, it's either the plug cable problem or the distributor problem. Plug cables can be changed for RM30-RM80 per set (don't go for those cheap aftermarket silicone ones, those damn things bugger up pretty fast). Stick with OEM Proton or Bosch or some other reliable ones.
If it's a distributor problem, don't go to a half cut shop. Go straight to a spare part shop. A halfcut shop once quoted me RM220 for the distributor, and after bargaining the guy dropped the price to RM180. I didn't believe it was that expensive, so I went to a spare part shop to get an original Siemens-VDO distributor. It cost me only RM45.
