Proton Gen2 R3!!!!!!!

InitialD,

that's true, can hit top speed faster, but then, straights are long ENOUGH for your car to go alot faster than 180km/h!

The GTi's stock g/box can hit 210km/h with more power than stock. Should be easy too.

so on every long straight, the Gen2 R3 would say, lose 30km/h ! that's alot..

alien,
oi :D another topic has got 3-4 pics laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

The R3 Gen 2 Rally car is equiped with a 5.1 final drive a a close ratio dog box. The car achieves max speed (180km/h) in 400 meters. As the Tarmac rally stages consist of mainly very very long straights The Crew were at a dissadvantage. in the 8 stages, the Gen2 actually won a stage that did not have long straights. Hafizy Hafiz's GTi is a full Modded MME spec GTi. It ain't exactly slow either.

Guess it pays to be prepared... from MME alone it can be seen that everybody takes things for granted with the exception of only a handfull of teams.. no wonder motorsports in malaysia moves with a snail like speed.. talk about tidak apa attitude..

Sorry bout the shooting but IMO i think proton as an example should set a better one although i know they're giving their best shot.

Keep up the great work Proton, but a reminder to all of us especially those taking part in these events, WE ALL DONT PLAN TO FAIL, WE JUST SOMETIMES FAIL TO PLAN...AND THATS NO EXCUSE

No excuses. Though the organisers did "forget" to put up tyre chicanes that were there during recce.

The crew did survey the stages months back and diagnosed the straights where too long. Speeds of 200km/h plus were attainable. And the organisers decided chicanes should be added, which they did on the recce day, but not the rally proper.

But hey, at least, R3 bothered to enter, and not just talk about entering.
