Upon arrival on the 3rd day, the car was already parked in place, ready for us to perform our magic touch to her. Since its a new car we did not expect much damage on it but to our horror, we were very wrong.

The front of the car looked decent and it was just lightly covered in road grime and dust. There was still quite some gloss and shine to the paint.

The most common swirled and scratched up area on Volkswagen(s) are the glossy black side pillars.

On the other side, swirls were similar.

We then moved on to inspecting the paint work. We found that swirls were very similar to the plastic black panels.

Swirls are usually quite invisible on white cars as they tend to glare your eyes more than reveal damages. A trick to it is to view the car at a petrol station at night.

LED lightings can also assist at revealing swirl damages on colours like this.

We gave the car an extensive wash, removing tar, claying and also cleaning the trims of the stubborn weather stains. Then we moved on to the paint correction steps. After many hours of polishing, we came to a final result of a 90% swirl free surface.

Side pillars were corrected but there are still a little leftover deeper swirls.

After around 8hours, we were finally able to apply the coating. Here are the final results and the end of our 3 days Detailing Saga.
