Open Pod Air Filter

is it ok to change to lcp?
is it can give more pick up?
so in malaysia, hot temp, beter use oem air box, rite?:driver:

I will go change all pulley soon, not just the crank pulley coz
i have heard too much talks about all the gd immediate effects
after changing to lighter pulley. Does alternator, aircond, and
power steering got lighten pulley?

Anyways, i was talking about air intake system for my Saga Auto Carb
for better low end torque, should i go for open pod, or just a filter with
a casing right on top of the carb, or no choice but the ori airbox?

Its ok to change to lcp. im not sure what kind of pickup u r looking for but it does makes ur engine feel lighter..easy rev, pickup will be better but not much. oem cp is quite heavy..

Double as heavy. But i am worry about resonance which put me off for such upgrades.

Its good to have lcp if you are a frequent city driver, a plus for those who have to face heavy traffic in daily KL life.

As for resonance, get a good built lcp and all is fine..

i plan to have 2 cars, one for city and one for highway.
The city car would be tiny, probably getting a viva with
really small, and light rims with thin tires, lighten pulleys
and flywheel. And the highway car is the other way round.

hi,if use open pod filter on my 4g93, how does the ecu compensate the extra fuel? is it the MAF sensor will detect more air flow, hence signalling the ecu to increase fuel injector pulse to maintain the correct air fuel ratio? since i've installed adj fuel regulator (which is good for low end torque), i think its gonna be win win situation where i get good low end torque and better high end horsepower am i right?

"there are more creative methods modifying ur airbox... drilling extra holes to compensate the need of high flow at high rpm... yet u still enjoy the cheaper drop-in air filter and oem cai intake that comes with ur car....

Bro i doubt the design of the DIY webpage you shared. The connection to the air filter box looks nice and seems to work theoretically, but the CAI is pointed vertically to the floor. Means it isnt RAM air intake, but rather a longer hose to divert the air from outside. Yes we can get cooler air but I doubt the static pressure would actually resist the flow...

well i juz modify the original *air intake* and direct the air to my open pod,lolz..running on auto SOHC by the way,not bad....lolz
