i notice that at the oil stick of the engine, there is oil sludge which looks like rusty, abit sandy thing.. I suspect my engine has oil sludge. It has 90,000 km mileage, regular servicing, no white smoke. How to remove it ? i suspect it has cause my fuel cosumption to go high ... help ...

if u use engine flush,it will take a few time before u see any significant
reduction of the oil sludge.don't expect it to be a 1 time job.

you can try Shell's engine flush. i've used it, and very satisfied with it.

try n look for concentrated 1.much quicker.only need around 5-10min to flush.
i've use top1 before.it's ok for me.

Should oil sludge be sandy? I thought it was just 'sticky' engine oil (maybe something like tar).

Would recommend that you drain out the oil, and open your oil pan (below the engine) to check it out. The oil filter might give a clue too...

you may use the MOTUL engine cleaner to flush and pour some 100% syn engine oil 5w30 in every service to wash down the sludge..it might help you a lot...

cheers
