Just finished the video of our trip to the Texas Mile where we reclaimed the R35 GT-R top speed record with a 233.1mph run! This did not happen without a hitch. Watch the video to see the Alpha Omega slide into a 230+mph drift at the finish line.
Yes, our driver Ivan was lucky so much worked out in his favor. The chute began to climb after he hit the bump causing the car to lift even more, but it also most likely saved him from rolling over. Needless to say, after the initial slide, his experience kept the car from running into the field. It was a very close call and I was proud he kept his composure.
Phew very lucky the car did not flip!
Awesome achievement! Should try it in the VW track - Ehra Leissen though, should be even faster at a safer environment, right?
Yes, very lucky! It was a good thing we weren't using a stickier compound tire - which is what many at the event choose to use.
We have found a smoother runway in a neighboring state that we will be using next week and from now on. Unfortunately, we do not have any test facilities nearby.
All this while i have been feeling that my front feels kinda light and loose. i have changed new tyres, did the alignment and tyre pressure is all good. Anyone got any pointers on what i have not done or...
