IMO, if you are planning for more upgrades and plan to do it one step at a time, I would suggest getting a new EMS. From what my tuner told me, along your way for engine upgrades, almost every change needs to be retuned. The downside of it is you have to pay each time to retune. If you do it all at one go, even better. Upgrade everything and then tune once and for all. But normally this is not practical. Because one may not be able to fork out that much money. The second reason is because even when you upgrade, you will still not be satisfied and want to upgrade more which needs retuning.

Well, for me, my personal route would be getting an EMS. Then upgrade other things first like suspension, clutch that do not require retuning (this is where I am at now in my build). After that, engine upgrade and retune. This was also an advise by fellow zth enthusiasts that I am following. That way, for me, I don't feel the money is being spent unnecessarily for retuning.
