hi.

im new with honda engines....the engine is B18C SiR
1st...the B18C-GSR is the same with SiR right? producing nearly 180bhp right?

the target is street performance.not competetion.

what the ideal performance cams & pulleys for the B18C ? is it ok only change cams...or compulsory to change the valve springs also?

what parts should i get to make it into B18C Type R spec...? what the cost?

any clutch reccomendation? exedy good or not for B18 ? what the cost for the complete exedy single plate with flywheel...

thank u

My advice... get the type R head full set with cams, valvesprings(rm1500+) & Type R intake manifold full set (rm1200++).. bolt it right on ur block + some settings on the cam by pulleys.. u probably would need a piggyback such as VAFC to fine tune...

Or if u on a low budget... can just buy b16a head+intake manifold (altogether below rm1000)...
Which is what we called a "Poor man's Type R"
do a mild PNP.. thinner gaskets + b16a piston(below rm100) for higher compressions.. lastly get an aftermarket or Obd2 Type R ecu and that should be enough... As to what u said..."street performance"
Me and my friend currently running on this setup and the power felt is so much better than using the b18c Sir head.. head job is very important for NA...

As to why u should change the head... is bcos b18c Sir is using a dual stage intake manifold which is not as effective as the b16 and 18CR's single stage intake manifold on the High Rpms... Of course there are aftermarket intake manifolds which fits the Sir head... but they cost at least rm1000++
