I used to be a super strut owner converted to macpherson. Personally I preferred the super strut as it gives the car a more sturdy feeling when taking corners even on worn out tyres.
However, it was really costly to maintain because every couple of months, the joints will creak and howl badly due to the lubrication mixed with sand, dust, dirt. That also happens because most Malaysian garages do not take out super strut using the recommended tools, instead knocking on the joints. You can't blame them because after a few months, the dust, dirt and grime settles inside the joints making them difficult to remove. If your set of super struts are new or good (not opened before and tight), it will serve you long and to some even years.
For me, it was just too costly and my mech was practically earning a lot from my stubborness to keep the super struts. After I've moved to Macpherson, I've not even spent 1 second thinking about my absorbers - no howling no creaking, quietness except for the 4 throttle engine sound hahaha.
The car is a daily driver and still serve me well in corners as my springs are hard and I've still got my anti-roll bars which is sufficient to keep my car turning corners at high speed.
Good luck on your choice as both serves me in their own way depending on what you want.
