something wrong with ur Altis??.....
I thought Altis could go faster than that....alright Japan spec might have a limit at either 170km/h or 180km/h.....but u meant to say u drove 30 minutes without the speedo changing from 160km/h to above that?!........
Than I guessed the speed cut for your car would be at 160km/h.

Want to get it go faster?........get rid of the speed cut. A RSM would do the trick; or if your mech are a specialist; heck he might be able to do that by not using electronic devices....

Yezinki, i guess you have to be abit more patience to forummers here.Yes i do agree its drastically different from US/UK/AUS forums i've visited..... people here are more "responsive" I'd say, even if they knew nothing bout it, but would like to join in the chat.. you have to be more tolerant with loads of 'posters' while waiting for seniors to answer your queries.

The only thing that stops a stock Neo from going beyond 200kph is physics.

d latest triangle tail light accord dun have la... before this version got...
so u still interested to know d fc or not??? hehe, i can tell u... there is no different between these two 2.0 accord...
on d rear light changed, n add some new features only... what's d features???
just added some spec only... like spot light, cruise control.. n other stuff...
but d performance n engine displacement r still d same...
so i can tell u d new n d old version FC will be d same as well!!!
but d 2.4 not same lo... cuz bhp increase 10 more for d new 1...
so fc also will be a bit higher la...
for d 2.0 le... 1km 15cent lo... around that, so rm10 can go for 70km only...
but all this depend on how u drive... if u were a big footer... ill bet its more than this!!!

I drove my new Altis M/T, at max 160km/hr at 4K Rpm, e a/c on, with out any mods!

I know with more mileage on it, will touch 200 km/hr easily.

I wanted to know if any one touched 220km/hr?

Previously I drove my old 2003 Corolla 1.3 L EFI engine easily at 180km/hr.

No offence, but guys in the ZTH forums are all like friends. They love to talk and sometimes you might think that they are trying to be smart but they are not doing that. Just letting you know bout the hazards of speeding. My personal opinion is that if you really wanna go fast, do take precautions. Stock cars can go fast, but many things can go wrong. Its called the Murphys Law.....what can go wrong will go wrong.

As for your Altis 1.6...4000rpm for 160kmph sounds right but top should be 180 with cutoff.....you should be able to hit that speed easily. Remove the cutoff and you can go faster but maybe not till max meter scale due to torque requirements.

i drive a honda civic sr3 and the fastest speed i went was 200km/h that was also using the new kuantan highway n there is not many car also.. i think the prob with ur altis is the speed cut.. once u remove it i think u should be able to go faster.. just like 1 of my fren who is using a mivec md on a satria but always stops at 180km/h cause of the speed cut.. after removing it he can do much better... just my 2 cent..

ALtis 1.6 goes only 160km/h?should be the speed cut...once i was on my uncle Toyota Vios..1.5 if im not mistaken, he went 170km/h++ easily from Yong Peng to JB,he said that the car can still goes faster...he scared the S... out of me..
MY cousin's wira V6 have speed cut at 180km/h

my family stock 1.5cc vios can go up to 170km/h quite fast; in less than 30secs...
never tried the top speed yet.........
so if 1.5 toyota can go to 170km/h; dun see why an Altis can't go to that speed.

So like I mentioned before; u got to check what's the speed limit cut on your car. M'sia and Japan model would usually have the cut at either 170 or 180km/h (that's why recond car from Japan only have a 180km/h meter)

i guess factory setting (speed cut) for all japan made is 180kmh... try getting a RSM or anti speed cut limiter...

It wasn't a cut speed issue.......I didn't take it more than 160km/hr coz the car was new, just had done 800km, could have taken it further faster but didnt wanna push the new engine too much.....

It was on a 8 lane highway.

Yesterday night did 0-100 km in 8.5 secs in the city, now its done 2500km mileage.

hey.. 8.5sec is pretty good for an altis! you did this using a stopwatch? i'm assuming your altis is an auto model.
