Malaysia drivers.

lol dont look down on a kelisa. A manual kelisa can outrun a bigger cc cars with 1.1 ~ 1.6 engine in a sprint. Plus if the there's traffic, its even more advantage to the kelisa haha. For example, a stock manual kelisa vs stock manual 1.3 saga or iswara, it's a match.

You just reminded me of my friend during my biking days. Using a kapchai he outrun the bigger cc bike in traffic, because easier for him to squeeze through traffic....:driver:

Manual in terms of pick up yes better than saga, any shit car pick up also can be better than
the BLM  except lorries

Manual kelisa no doubt pick up is good. But stock outrun 1.6...not really possible unless is Gen-2 with Campro non CPS

SF, you so sure kah? or its better than your BLM only. I don't see my FLX pickup slow also....I have BLM video clocking early 9 secs from 0 to 100 you know.. I know this guy personally and have TT with him before..myself also manage to clock in late 9s...I think its more like driver problem than car problem....Not to say the saga is god like fast but sometimes need to see who's behind the wheel also.....Hahahahaha

If yours "Manual" is 9secs, and how do u expect my Auto BLM to hit 9secs?
Time sounds fast, things start to look slow when a car beside u beats the so call 9secs 0-100
Such as myvi or vios. Vios acceptable 1.5L, but myvi 1.3L? :banghead:

Btw the video, if u watch again. I would start my count from the youtube video time...
Car accelerated at 0:02 and ends at 0:13. When it shows 9.11 secs.

To be exact is actually 11secs. His time is wrong as his countdown started at 0:03 when he reaches 30km/h.

SF, I timed my own also la....I also can get late 9 secs. I do not think saga is slow....you come try mine.....

Stupid car, shift point shift point....don't look down on proton cars like only Vios and MyVi is fast....

1.3 can do 9s, then 1.6 can do 8s lor? Maybe 7s?

I don't know....have to try ownself with the car.....but important is the shift point. Before this I got only 10.50sec but keep trying...on different launch RPM and shift point...seriously I've forgotten how many times I tried and tried...

TR, do you suppose the speedmeter is factory set to over-reading?

try cross check with a gps.....

Ken Yeang is absolutely right. Manufacturer gives a 5% plus minus to the displayed speed. So if it says you're going 100km/h, it's possible based on GPS it's 95km/h only. But that's also why Police give a plus minus 5 to 8km/h allowance to your running speed.

Oh and highly dependent on your wheel size too.

Ken yeang, thank you for your advice it was very useful and it prompted me to do a small test earlier just now. I just got back home from a trial run to determine the speed difference on the speedo and the GPS (garmin) This is what I did but not sure if this is the correct way of dong it.

1st I do a constant speed drive for about 6km with speed at 100 showing on the dash my GPS recorded 97 so there's a 3% difference (roughly). Then I do another 5 times 0-100 launch so that I can get an average figure then I add in the 3% into the figure I got from the dash. Is this the correct way? Below I attached a Excel spreadsheet with the data I collected. I'm not sure how accurate the data so do correct me if I'm wrong. Now I know my car is slow....Boooo:sleep:
But I learn something, a 3% difference is really big in timing

Lol..even so, GPS is laggy too. Unless you have a speed meter or slow mo camera with pre set lines on the course, who cares about the 1 or 2 seconds la haha...stuck in jam, 1 or 2 hours gone.
