Malaysia drivers.

Dudes, there are some bad drivers on Malaysian roads that test our patience and self-control. I think things could be contagious. One bad driver could spread his attitude to others. But one good gesture like giving way to others would also spread the same to many as well. I'm not sure how you look at it but I surely believe in this. What goes around comes around.

Yup, especially jam on highways. One joker use emergency lane then all follow.
But sad thing is good gesture most do not follow.....:banghead::banghead:

I just watched the video DK posted and from that I link into another video from the channel. In real life the Japanese even the police are all very polite.
Just take a look at this video below. How they tell people to move away not just blaring the siren and horn. Very different from here.
Polite Japanese Police Car !! - YouTube

This is also the same thing I experienced when I 1st went to Japan and didn't know how to use the subway ticket machine.
Now that's service - YouTube

Also Japan has some of the cleanest truck you will ever see in the whole world. The truck is more clean then our average car here and the truck drivers are damn polite also.

Japan culture is different. Upbringing from young and so on.
Last time when arrived in Tokyo was in bus and very jam, but no horning. Car signal and they are let in unlike here.....

The best kit you can take with you if you are planning to drive out-of-state in unfamiliar territory is a GPS. Equally important as that GPS is the quality of maps and the best most updated Garmin & Papago maps for Malaysia-Singapore region is from malfreemaps.

It's practically mandatory equipment in Penang. If I am aware of my directions, I drive well and surefooted and I find I am less of a target for the locals. Some idiots will still try you out seeing your out-of-state plate but you mitigate difficulties if you actually know where you are headed.

Agree. I never go places I don't know without my Garmin.

Actually our police is also very courteous and helpful what. When you were flagged down for speeding or something, you ask for leniency they will most likely reply, "how can I help you sir?" with big grin on face. That's a culture you cannot see in Japan.

Here also you signal most of the time people will let you in la. That is one of the biggest difference I can immediately feel and enjoy when starting to drive here!

even my wife isn't courteous enough while on the road. I couldn't tolerate of the fact the she is an aggressive driver. I told her i am readily disown her if she got into trouble because of her stupidity.
Kids will learn very quickly from parents. That's when everything starts in a vicious cycle. Beware when you have kids onboard.

Time to 'teach' your wife a lesson.

I only met one really polite one.

Police: Selamat Petang Dik, pergi mana?
Me: Balik rumah sahaja. Apa salah saya?
Police: Oh dik, tadi you pusing macam ini salah tau.
Me: Oh yakah, so macam mana? boleh bagi peluang kali ini tak?
Police: Boleh! Boleh..saya memang nak tolong you ini, you beritahu saya
macam mana saya boleh tolong you?
Police: Summon 300 tau?
Me: Tau
Police: Saya nak tolong ini, u beritahu saya u boleh bagi berapa?
Me: Saya ada Rm30 sahaja mau?
Police: letak dengan license.

:banghead:

But I still believe if we act good and drive with good attitude, slowly a lot will feel that it is nicer being
treated that way and I believe they will slowly change and be a good driver.

Cuz I was changed by observing or indirectly educated by good drivers. Frankly, I'm also
one of the idiot drivers when I was still a kid. I won't let anyone cut into my lane. Tailgating, not
giving way whether u put signal or not. I dont give a damn.

Drive recklessly on the road and etcs. But slowly start to be able to think and felt nice when people
gave way to me and felt the anger when people drive like shit. So I know the feeling of both good
and bad world.

Is like being to heaven and hell kind of experience
